Scholars' Library Professor Doctor Heinz Dieter Kittsteiner (1942-2008)
Heinz Dieter Kittsteiner, born in Hanover in 1942, held the Chair of Comparative Modern European History at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder) from 1993 until his death in 2008. His library, comprising 7,749 volumes, represents a scholarly collection of exceptional value for cultural studies research. Thanks to a generous donation, it was incorporated into the holdings of the University Library.
The entire collection – many items bearing notes and annotations – is housed in the library's closed stacks and can be searched and ordered via the catalogue (OPAC).
Books from this collection are for use in the reading room only and may not be borrowed.
