Library-Etiquette

Lockers are available for you to store bags, umbrellas, and similar items during your visit.
To use a locker, you’ll need to bring your own padlock.

Please make sure to empty your locker by the end of the day. Lockers that are not cleared within the specified time may be opened by library staff. Any contents removed will be treated as lost property. Items belonging to other libraries or public collections will be returned accordingly.

Please note that the library cannot accept liability for any belongings stored in the lockers. We kindly ask you not to leave valuables inside.

Please use transparent carrier bags to bring your work materials into the library. Transparent plastic bags are available for purchase from the vending machine located near the entrance/exit of the Court of Honour.

Large bags and backpacks are not permitted in the reading room.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

You are welcome to take jackets and coats into the reading room.

You may bring drinks in sealable bottles into the reading room.
To help us protect our valuable library collections, we kindly ask that you do not bring any food with you.
