Delivery times

Collecting your order
You will be notified by email or by letter. Please note: if we send a letter, you will need to pay the postage upon delivery.
Interlibrary loan books can be collected from the information desk in the reading room. They will be held there until the end of the loan period.
Copies of journal articles will be sent as a download link by email. You have 30 days to download the file.
If your order cannot be fulfilled (e.g. the title is not available for loan or cannot be verified), you will receive a cancellation notice by email or by letter.
Lending conditions
The loan period is set by the supplying library and is usually 4 weeks. It begins when the interlibrary loan item is made available – not when you collect it.
You may request one extension of the loan period for a further 4 weeks.
Please apply for the extension before the original due date – in person, by phone (0335 5534 3366), by email to ub_fernl@europa-uni.de, or via the online renewal form.
Extensions are granted provisionally. If the supplying library does not allow renewals, this will be indicated on the slip enclosed with the book.
Please ensure that the enclosed data slip remains inside the book until it is returned.
The supplying library may impose specific conditions, such as a shortened loan period, use in the reading room only, or a ban on copying. We are strictly bound by these conditions.
Interlibrary loans from international libraries may only be used in the reading room.
Copies of articles are for you to keep.
