Restrictions due to construction work in the Library in June and July

From 2 June to 25 July 2025, construction work in the University Library will result in extensive closures on the lower floors and make the elevator unavailable.

• Entrance, lending desk, and information desk will be relocated to the 3rd floor during this period.
• The route via the staircase is signposted.
• Disabled users may use the freight elevator.

Service Adjustments:

• The entire reading room in the inner courtyard will be closed during construction.
• University members may request items from affected shelfmark areas (LKZ 10–13, 15–19, 35, 51, 82–84, 86, 88, 91–93) via the ticket system ausleihservice.ub.europa-uni.de.
• Other users may order books from these areas by emailing ub_ausk@europa-uni.de.
• Orders from closed areas will be available for collection Monday to Friday on the following day.
• For urgent requests, please contact us in person.
• Newspapers will be temporarily relocated to the 3rd floor gallery.
• Yellow Dot books may be borrowed for 2 weeks during the construction period.
