Introductory workshop

Publishing in Open Access

On 22 November 2024 from 10:00 to 14:30, the University Library of the European University Viadrina, Center for Teaching and Learning and the Networking and Competence Centre Open Access Brandenburg will jointly offer an introductory workshop on Open Access in the publication process. Using typical publication scenarios (dissertation, monograph, edited volume, journal article), the basic elements of Open Access publishing will be taught in a practical way.

The following questions, among others, will be answered during the workshop:

• Why OA / What is OA?
• What is behind a CC-BY licence? What licences are available?
• What applies to the subsequent use of OA publications?
• What do I need to look out for when signing a contract?
• What funding options do I have?

In addition, there will be the opportunity to ask further questions on the topic of Open Access.
