Information about Open Access
Open Access refers to the aim of making scientific literature and materials freely accessible on the Internet.
In the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI), Open Access is understood to mean the following (German translation):
"Open Access means that this literature should be freely and publicly available on the Internet so that interested parties can read, download, distribute, print, search, reference and otherwise use full texts in any legal way, without financial, legal or technical barriers beyond those associated with Internet access itself."
